This C.A.T.S. Litterbox is definately different and unique. It has many unique features. You've never seen a litterbox enclosure like this one. I absolutely love mine. With built-in litter box your litter box is definately hidden. This litter box is made of very sturdy double walled corrugated plastic that is impervious to most cleaners, soaps, detergent, antiseptics and bleaches, and if the lid becomes dull from cat's usage it can be treated with a self polishing wax or polish to brighten it the same way you would maintain the vinyl floor in your kitchen (it's true, I used all of them on mine to be sure). It is very sturdy, both my cats like to sit on the top (sometimes at the same time) and together they weigh 25 pounds. It isn't, however, strong enough for children to climb on. It's 22 1/2 inches Wide, 22 1/2 inches Deep, and 16 1/2 inches Tall. The hole is 8 inches around, plenty large enough for big cats. The section that holds the litter is 21 inches long and almost 12 inches wide. Although not necessary, I preferred to place a liner around the litterbox section so I wouldn't have to clean it as often. The lid is easy to lift for scooping the litter (I recommend scoopable litter because I don't have to change all of it each time.) I just scoop when needed and add a little fresh litter. This litter box was intended for my new kitten, Cuddles, but my older, fat, cat Shadow, insists on using it too, so I'm getting another one for him.
