Much like a window air conditioner but only a fraction of the weight, the Kittyview is outside where kitty wants to be, but safe. Kittyview has back and sides of crystal-clear acrylic for total visibility, with an opening to your living space. The bottom is white acrylic so that kitty has the sense of sure footing. There is a choice for the acrylic top: either bronze-tinted to reduce even more sunlight UV, or clear with some UV -filtering.

1.  Will Kittyview fit in my window?
Yes, if your window is at least 20" wide and raises at least 14".
 
2. How big is the Kittyview?  How much does it weigh?
The inside dimensions of the Kittyview are: 17.5" wide (left to right) x 17.25" deep (front to back) x 11.5" high (top to bottom). It weighs less than 10.5 pounds.
 
3. If I have vinyl or metal replacement windows, will it work?
The Kittyview was designed to handle metal, aluminum, and vinyl replacement windows, as well as the typical wooden window.
 
4. How does Kittyview work in the case of a storm window?
If aluminum, lift storm window glass and screen up and out of the way.
If wood, screen and glass, remove totally.
 
5.  How will Kittyview handle the climate?
All seams are glued with an acrylic solvent cement, making the case one piece. The weather will have no effect on your Kittyview.  (they use an acrylic sheet material called Lucite CP (its "clearer than glass," referring to the 92% light Transmittance v. 85% for typical residential glass). with a temperature range of minus 30 degrees to 190 degrees. It doesn't melt,  just turns rubbery, at 194 F.  It will stay the same in sun, rain, snow, ice, and hot or cold temperatures. Also, with the tinted top, the ultraviolet rays from the sun are reduced. Kittyview is open to the inside of your home so you have the same temperature as in your living space.
 
6.  How will my cat enjoy the air?
There are two air vents, one on each side, which can be opened or closed. Plugs are included for this use.
 
7.  How difficult is it to install?
It installs in minutes. Three easy steps. Briefly: (1) lock window in the correct position; (2) place Kittyview in the opening and secure; (3) weatherize.
 
8.  How secure is Kittyview in my window?
Your Kittyview is secure, provided it is installed in a structurally sound window.
 
9.  How safe is my cat? and my children?
Your cats are as safe as if they are inside. Kittyview will easily support 50 pounds. Child panels are included should you need them (this narrows the opening to keep children from crawling in).
 
10. How do I clean the Kittyview?
Mild soap (such as dishwashing liquid) and water. The rain takes care of the outside.
 
11.  How will I clean my window?
First remove the Kittyview, clean the window, then reinstall properly according to the instructions.
