Crazy, wild, and full of surprises. Read what one person had to say about it. "A few days before Christmas, I stopped in a pet supply store to pick up a token gift for my cat. She is tough to buy for because she has never shown an interest in any toy/treat I have offered her in the past. I settled for a small bag of catnip and headed for the register. The PANIC MOUSE was on display nearby. It's a battery- operated plastic mouse on a hinged pedestal. The mouse's tail is a long wand to which a spider-like toy is attached. Turn on the mouse's nose and the wand begins to turn and twist, simulating movements much like you would make playing with your cat. The speed of the wand can be adjusted and the company claims it can keep your cat happy for hours while you are away. It looked fun. I took back the catnip & picked up the Panic Mouse for (gulp!) $29.99. Christmas came. I put the Panic Mouse together (easy assembly), inserted the batteries & turned it on. The cat was fascinated. She whipped out her paw, snatched the spider on its next rotation & pulled the toy nose-first onto the tile floor. I picked it up & it didn't work. Apparently, even a slight bump on a hard floor can mess up the on/off switch. Thankfully, the pet store exchanged it for another one. A sales clerk said that her cats pull the thing over all the time but it falls on carpet. The new one is still going although I now place it on carpet & monitor her play. Even when she wants to ignore it, she can't. Midge spent the first few years of her life as a barn cat and prefers her "toys" to have a heartbeat. The fact that she is showing any interest in this toy at all is amazing. So, if you don't mind the price, I recommend PANIC MOUSE for your cats. Turn it on and watch them enjoy themselves."
